Dart Music International, a nonprofit founded in Austin, recently had an amazing surprise when Astronaut Cady Coleman on the International Space Station sent down a video of her playing some music in honor of the 2011 Dart Music International House during SXSW. This is the first time music has ever been recorded from space for a music/cultural event and goes to show how the arts transcend even our own atmosphere.
