From 10:30 am on, theatre artists will be out and about,, performing art in unlikely space to an unsuspecting audience.
Then join us for a World Theatre Day Party at the Creative Alliance Studios.( 701 Tillery St)
The party begins with a reading of the International World Theatre Day Message written by Judy Dench and read by Ken Webster, Robert Faires’s State of the Arts in Austin Address, and Michael Meigs thoughts from the point of view of an Austin Audience member/blogger. Refreshments, video clips from the day, live streamed footage from other cities celebrating World Theatre Day all included. Open to everyone, free of charge.
3. APASO– The Creative Alliance is excited to be sending some of our staff to this amazing conference in California next week. They will return with much knowledge to impart to our community, and be able to play a part in the future of Performing Arts Service Orgs nationwide!
APASO (Association of Performing Arts Service Organizations) is a gathering of organizations that has convened annually for more than 20 years to share best-practices for marketing the arts, for providing community-wide ticketing and audience development programs and for providing advocacy and other services to performing arts communities.
