Wanted: Full time Social Media Director/Content manager

The Austin Creative Alliance is looking to hire a full time time Content/Manager/Social Media Director for the organization. The individual hired will be responsible for the posting and management of all content for NowPlayingAustin.com, Austin’s leading website for arts,culture and creativity. We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience and skills in web content management, writing and editing for the web, graphic design and site management. The website content manager will be responsible for developing the voice for all aspects of the organization’s online presence.

In addition to editing and proofreading site content, this person will be responsible for all of the Social Media aspects of the job position.The website content manager will also be responsible for crafting social media site promotions. Social Media obligations include: keeping an active and engaging facebook, twitter,blog, and weekly podcast. This position will manage networking with the community, planning events, and serving as an ambassador to the arts through the coordination of arts events and meetups.The individual will also be responsible for co-ordination and management of the A-Team, a local arts reviewing team. Strong people skills and creativity are a must. Tasks require a strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. The best candidate will be strongly self motivated, but also have the ability to work as a part of a team on larger programs and events.

Required Skills
–Passion for the arts

–Prior experience managing content and production

–Social Media background and proficiency

–Exceptional communication and organizational skills

–Knowledge of HTML and experience with popular content management systems

–Basic Photoshop and Design skills

–Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
