Free Night of Theater

Free Night of Theater is back with a few changes this year. In previous years we only offered tickets for the last two weeks of October. This year we have tickets for the entire month! So to help keep the “No Show Rate” (the number of faithful Free Nighters who get a ticket but forget the have them or realize that they aren’t able to use them) down we have staggered the release of the tickets. Today was the first day that tickets were available and boy did the tickets go fast! But that isn’t so surpising because they have always gone fast. So when you visit the Free Night site if looks like all the tickets are sold out, but good news, they aren’t. They are sold out for this weekend but not for the rest of the month. So how does one reserve tickets for the shows later in the month you ask? We quite simply. Just come back to every Tuesday in October at 11am and you will be able to reserve your tickets for the shows for the following weekend. In the mean time sign up for our stand by list on the Austin Free Night website and you will receive a weekly reminder to reserve your tickets. Pretty simple huh?

If you have more questions feel free to contact Anne-Marie McKaskle at or you can also call 512.247.2531.

And one last thing. We have a ton of great performances, and more will be added as the month goes on and it will be very tempting to get tickets to every show but that isn’t what Free Night is all about. It is a program that is designed to bring in folks who don’t normally attend a particular company’s productions or any productions at all. Which means that if you reserve tickets for every show there are tons of people who don’t get the chance to sign up for tickets. So get yourself one pair of Free Night tickets and then encourage your friends to get them too.
