Explosion of Praise for Revel!

Over at Nowplayingaustin.com, we’ve had an outpouring of reviews come in for Revel 2 of 5: The Climb. Here are just a few:

“Don’t miss Revel in the House! There’s nothing else like this in Austin – it’s the most unique and excellent musical experience you’ll ever attend!”

“REVEL 2 of 5 was SPECTACULAR! Carla and Joel are stellar musicians, and their guest artist, Carmelo, was also tremendous! These 3 musicians presented Chopin with flawless beauty (as they do with all classical chamber music), but then they played Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven,” and brought the audience to their feet (and some to tears). There is clearly a little rock star in every classical musician. Their concert ended with a rousing piece filled with syncopated rhythms that had toes tapping and heads bobbing–my children were even dancing in their seats! Thank goodness they indulged us in a much-requested encore by reprising Led Zeppelin. I am counting down the days ’til the next REVEL concert: their Annual Holiday REVEL on December 19th at 6:00 p.m. at Northwest Hills United Methodist Church. Attending these concerts allows me to experience wonderful classical music without any of the pretentious airs! I wear my jeans and clap when I want to! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND REVEL!”

“Whatever you expect from superb musicians, Revel will deliver. The music is flawless; the musicians are warm and self-effacing; the venue is cozy and inviting and the food was wonderful. This is truly the one and only way this type of music was meant to be enjoyed. A delightful, educational evening with a great classical music fix. Revel rocks the house!”

Revel will be back for 3 of 5, Annual Holiday Revel December 18th and 19th, and by the looks of these reviews, it is not something to be missed.
