Halloweekend: Tricks and Treats

This weekend is one of the best holidays of the year and if you were still stuck looking for plans, well we’re here to give them to ya.

Zombie Ball
A Zombie Party of Epic proportions Saturday night at the old Austin Power Plant building. Fashion shows, 2 stages of music with acts that include members of the Butthole Surfers, Cirque du Soleil, and Blue Man Group.

Dusk: Improvised Tween Erotica
— Get your improv on and watch some halloween-riffs on what has become now the only thing worth riffing on halloween. I would say ” I’m Sorry, Stephenie Meyer,” but I’m really not.

H1Z1 Zombie Apocalypse
— Scare for a Cure brings you this one of a kind, incredibly awesome-sounding, fully interactive, full contact, you-will-get-messy-and-freaked-out, haunted house/trail experience. Your job now is to find Sanctuary and rebuild civilization. Do you have the courage and wits to survive, or will the world belong to the zombies forever?

Hamlet at Boggy Creek Cemetery
— Critically acclaimed and an audience favorite, this Austin production of the greatest play in the English language is out in the spooky setting of a night-time cemetery. This shouldn’t require any coercion to go see, but if you’re holding out for any reason: don’t. Go see an unforgettable production of the Melancholy Dane.

Zombie Fest 3
— And if you were looking for something that’s safe for the kiddos this Halloween, look no further than Austin Public Library’s 3rd Annual Zombie Fest. Saturday from 1pm-4pm, there’ll be games, zombie costume & walk contests, food, music, and more, all for the little reanimated creature in your family.
