No Fooling These Old Settlers

The middle of April is just an absolutely wonderful time. It’s not too ridiculously summer-hot yet–even though it’s getting there–it’s bright and shiny all the time, the river is always a good idea, and the Old Settlers Music Festival makes it’s way to Driftwood.

Old Settlers is one of my favorite festivals in town, mostly because it takes you out of the city and into the hill country. Out at the Salt Lick Pavillion, across the street from Camp Ben McCulloch, right along a glorious river, and the best folk, bluegrass, and more from Texas natives to big names like The Avett Brothers and The Gourds. It’s the best down-home kinda time you’ll be able to get this month, so be sure to check it out.
